FAQ (frequently asked questions)

How many photographers will cover our wedding?

You will have one photographer and one assistant. The assistant helps things run smoothly. They’ll also have a camera to capture some candid moments during the day.

Who will be our photographer?

Desleigh will be your photographer for the duration of the day. She never double books, and does not sub-contract bookings to other photographers.

How many hours will be covered at our wedding?

This depends on the package you choose. Collection #1 is the only package that does not include full day coverage. Full day coverage starts before the girls leave the house, and ends after the cutting of the cake and first dance. We stay to get some images of you and your guests carving up the dance floor, then leave you to enjoy the rest of your reception.

How many photos will be taken on the day?

While there are things to photograph, we keep pushing the button. Just make sure you have enough time between the ceremony and reception for photos.  One full hour is a great start.  Time flies on the day, so take travel time into account as well.  See the pricing pages for included image numbers in each package.

Will we own our photos? Or will we have to choose which ones to order from you?

Desleigh does not believe in keeping your photos from you. You will own all your images, free of copyright markings.

Will all our photos be high resolution and digitally enhanced?

Yes.  You will receive 2 DVDs (Collection #1 will receive only one DVD). Both will have the same content. I recommend you keep one as a master copy, and one to share around.

Do we need to book meals for our photographer?

If we are covering your reception to include the actual cake cutting and first dance, please arrange for two meals. We will only need the main course, and most venues offer ‘supplier meals’ at a discount rate for you. Ask your wedding co-ordinator for more details.

When will we receive our photos?

Your DVDs will be delivered to you approximately 6 weeks after your wedding day. If your wedding is in peak season (Feb/Mar/ Sept/Oct/Nov) there may be one to two weeks delay in getting your DVDs. If you book an album package, your album will be delivered approximately 3 weeks after proof approval.
